Soothe with Nahid de Belgeonne couldn’t exist without you. Please sign up to receive new posts and support my work by becoming a free subscriber. Join The Soothe Club as a paid subscriber for £2.50 per week or £100 per year to receive weekly classes, enjoy the growing archive, chat and put in request for lessons. Sign up as a founding member, and you’ll get all the above PLUS 1 x private online session, a signed copy of my book and an invitation to the London book launch as well as many other benefits. Your subscription pays towards my time spent daydreaming, writing and filming. It also means I love you a bit more than the others, (don’t tell them that).

The time between Winter Solstice and Christmas is a time to pause. I’m going slow and small. I’m retracting.

I’m doing very little. I will make Roasted Squash and Courgettes with Whipped Feta and Pistachios, and Hummus with Aubergines from Sam Tamimi’s book Falsatin.

I will go to bed early and wake with the sunrise. I will take long walks. I will continue to stand with people of conscience for humanity. I will mourn for the dead and fight for the living.

I will give the best gift that I can give to anyone, that of my full attention.

Thank you so much for being part of the community, I really appreciate you being here.

"As the earth grows colder, the winds blow faster, the fire dwindles smaller, and the rains fall harder, let the light of the sun find its way home." Pagan prayer

There is a saying that goes, if you think you are enlightened, try spending a week with your family. I don’t talk about anything heavy, I get lots of fresh air by taking a couple of long walks in the day, I am fully present. I don’t drink anything more than a toast to compassion, justice and peace.

For paid subscribers, I’ve recorded a short breath lesson that you can practise before you react or to prepare you for company.

Wishing you and your loved ones, good health, love and peace.

Nahid x

I’ll be back properly on the 4th January.
