Sunday Worship
I started this in the pandemic when life felt grim. I continue because life feels very grim indeed.
Ali is an Iranian man, who owns a fantastic local produce shop where I lived in west London. Every time I asked him how he was he would say, I am still alive. I remember thinking his response was sadly fatalistic, but now I understand. When life is hard and unjust, there is no space to dream. How lucky we all are to be able to imagine life in the future.
